Our Products & Services

We care and we treat every home as if it were our own.

Using more than just a loft ladder to access your loft space can provide a number of benefits. For example, installing a loft hatch with an insulated cover can improve the energy efficiency of your home by reducing heat loss through the loft opening. It can also improve safety by preventing potential falls or injuries from ladder use. Additionally, adding a proper lighting system and flooring to your loft space can make it more usable and practical for storage. With these added features, you can fully utilize your loft space to its full potential and enhance the overall value of your home.

New Build Homes

Can I get my loft boarded in my new build house?

At More Than Loft Ladders, we’re frequently asked whether it’s possible to board the loft in a new-build home. Loft space can be incredibly useful for creating additional storage, particularly in modern properties where space is often limited. To help clarify the process, we’ve put together a brief overview of how we can complete this work without affecting your new-build warranty.

Asbestos

Asbestos testing & safe removal with More Than Loft Ladders

When you work in lofts every day, you quickly learn that it is not just dust and old Christmas decorations up there. Many older homes still contain asbestos in loft spaces and access areas, and if it is disturbed, it can put you, your family and our installers at risk.

If your home was built before 1999, there is a small chance that asbestos could be present in certain materials. You might not see it, but we know where to look.

That is why we have introduced a full asbestos testing service and trained our teams to carry out both sampling and non-licensed asbestos removal. It is the sensible next step in keeping our work safe, compliant and hassle free for customers.

Before we start work, our qualified team can take asbestos samples where needed and have them analysed by an independent laboratory. Once the results are back, we explain everything in plain English and agree the safest way forward with you.

Where the material falls into the “non-licensed” category and can be handled by a suitably trained team, we can remove it as part of your loft job. That means fewer contractors in your home, less disruption, and the peace of mind that the issue has been dealt with properly and in line with current UK guidance.

If we find anything that needs a licensed asbestos contractor, we will tell you straight and help you plan the next steps. No cutting corners, no guesswork.

Bringing asbestos testing and non-licensed removal in-house is about one thing: protecting people. It helps us look after our customers, safeguard our installers and make sure every More Than Loft Ladders job is done safely, start to finish.
